Claire Song

Claire Song is a high school student at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and an intern at the Lagier-Tourenne Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mentored by Dr. Huang, she participated and studied the research investigating TAR DNA-binding protein 43 (TDP-43) as a hallmark of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Further, she explored the upstream modifier and downstream targets of STMN2 (SCG10).

In addition to her interests in the research field, she is also passionate about ballet and contemporary dance along with playing the violin and piano. She is the co-founder and president of Papillon Youth Outreach, a global youth organization amplifying the youth voices in today’s society.
