Trained as both clinical neurologist and scientific researcher in neurology, neuroscience and molecular genetics, Dr. Nan Li was awarded his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University (CSU), China. He is devoted to exploring the genetic mechanism of patient-oriented neurogenetics and neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Li led several grant projects including those from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Since March 2017, he has joined Clotilde Lagier-Tourenne's Lab at MGH as a research fellow and has focused on nucleocytoplasmic transport disruption in ALS/FTD. He was awarded Talent Title of “531” Talents Project of CSU, Excellent Youth Performer on Post, and Outstanding Scholarship of Oversea Visiting for Youth Specialist by Xiangya Hospital of CSU.
