Divya Patni, Post-doctoral Researcher
I joined Lagier-Tourenne lab as a postdoctoral fellow in January 2024. Originally from a vibrant city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India, my passion for neurodegenerative research developed during my Ph.D. in Biophysics under the supervision of Dr. Santosh Kumar Jha where I worked on understanding the thermodynamic regulation of the folding and aggregation energy landscape of the nucleic acid binding domain of TDP-43. Driven by a quest to combat ALS and pave the way for potential cures, I now focus my efforts on understanding the pivotal role of innate immunity in the progression of C9orf72-related ALS. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, cycle, and practice dance.
