I am a postdoctoral fellow at Amgen's neuroscience group and co-mentored by Dr. Clotilde Lagier-Tourenne at the HMS/MGH. I completed a Master's degree at the National Yang-Ming University and my Ph.D. at the University of Utah. My Master's thesis focused on understanding microglial functions in Alzheimer's disease by using molecular/cellular biology techniques. During my Ph.D., I worked on several projects designed to understand novel allele-specific expression effects and their epigenetic mechanisms through next-generation sequencing analysis. With knowledge and skills in wet- and dry-lab techniques, I am eager to combine them in my studies. At MGH, I am now focused on studying STMN2 - a gene whose expression level is modulated by TDP-43 - to understand its signaling pathway and role in ALS and other neurodegenerative disorders.
